Just started using Audacity 1.3. Imported a raw data file from iTunes (16 bit, 44.100 WAV) that was recorded on a Sony PCM M10 recorder (a vinyl record to digitize and split tracks) and when I go to play the imported project I get error message:
Error while opening sound device. Please check the output device settings and the project sample rate.
As a result I am unable to play or edit the track.
Thanks. Randy

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: Unable to play project
I'm more than a little confused. You used the Sony recorder to capture a performance. You play the performance on the Sony and it's OK. You copied the performance out of the Sony and into iTunes where it plays just fine. You dragged the performance file out of iTunes into Audacity where it fails to play?
