I just downloaded 1.2.6 and tried recording from a 33 LP and noticed that it was coming in only on the left channel.
I know the recording is stereo, and it plays as stereo on the amplifier, and on the computer speakers without going
through Audacity. I have since tried recording from other sources (radio, tapes, etc.), but the problem persists.
I have also downloaded 1.3.12 and it works perfectly, but I would also like for it to work on 1.2.6.
Thanks,
Cliff

See this FAQ:
http://audacityteam.org/help/faq?s=recording&i=stereo
Note that you can open projects created in Audacity 1.2 in 1.3, but not the other way around.
