hey guys, I just finished doing a commentary for a call of duty video for the first time, and i have a question. I am on mac, but i will be transfering the file onto my pc....is that possible? if it is, once i have it on my pc, how do i put the audio track into sony vegas? thanks

Audacity projects are portable between operating systems. Also, if you export as a WAV file, your PC will be able to read it. As for "sony vegas" I have no idea.

That's correct. Audacity will not Save a sound file. File > Export.

To "save" in other formats, like koz said, is done by "exporting".

To copy an audacity project (saved in the audacity format) you have to copy not only the .aup file but also the data folder with the same name (and with a ton of weird names files in it).

Also avoid using non-alphanumeric chars in the file name. Avoid characters like '@', '#', 'á', or even spaces. Underscores ('_') and hyphens ('-') are ok.

This is because different operating systems often use different codepages and that will most likely cause problems when copying and opening file names containing non-alphanumeric chars, which are coded differently in different codepages.
