Problem with recording - pitch changes

After years of using Audacity for editing audio files and speech recording I've decided to try to record real music. I have Yamaha keyboard connected to my PC, I can hear sound and I can record it...
But!
When I play a recorded track it sounds a half-tone higher than the original! Needless to say that it makes impossible to record a track while playing the existing ones.
After exporting the project to a common format it still sounds in a wrong key!

What do I do wrong?

You can try these tips to see if it's a problem of mismatched sample rates when playing and recording, or a problem with the sound card drivers.

A sound device built into the computer motherboard would probably not have undergone any calibration test to see if it recorded pitch accurately. If the tips above don't help then you could Effect > Change Speed before recording the new track.
