WAV files are padded with silence to 5 seconds. Why?

Post by raarts » Sun Mar 02, 2008 5:28 pm

Hi,

When I export my (short, 2.2 sec) recording to WAV, it is
padded with silence to 5 seconds. This also happens when I
use export selection.

For the life of me I cannot find a setting somehwere to
change this minimum length.

I am using Audiacity 1.3.2 beta on Fedora Core 8.

It could be a bug in v.1.3.2
Try updating to a more recent version - preferably 1.3.4

Yep, upgrading to 1.3.4 fixed my problem.
I had to google for the fedora rpm, and I had to remove my .audacity-data directory.

thanks.

I had this problem with 1.3.3 on Mac OS X 10.4.11. Upgrading to 1.3.5d fixed it for me. Good work! :D
