I'm using 1.3.4 on Windows XP. I have an audacity project with 3 mono tracks of about 4 minutes duration - guitar, mandolin, and voice. It sounds great in Audacity. I would like to get this project (any way I can) off this PC and onto another (the PC isn't mine).
The simplest approach, I thought, was to export the 3 tracks as wavs. This isn't working. The guitar starts out fine, but abruptly ends at 2:00. The mandolin and voice generate 4 minutes of silence only. (I've tried export selection, export multiple, and even plain old export - which results in 4 minutes of silence.)
I also tried copying the data folder and (the one with e00 folder inside, etc.), both to CD and then thumb drive with sufficient space. In both cases, partway through, I got a bogus error about my drives being write-protected, therefore cutting off the copy process.
Given the 2 strikes on me, can anyone offer me a different option for rescuing my project?
Thanks
