Hi everyone,
Have any of you successfully configured Audacity on Mac OS 10.5 (leopard) using a Digidesign mBox as your audio interface? Audacity lets me choose the mBox (I have CoreAudio drivers installed), but when I try to play or record audio I get this message:
"Error while opening sound device. Please check the output device settings and the project sample rate."
I've tried every setting I can think of, to no avail. Anyone?
Thanks,
Bryan

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: Audacity with an mBox on Leopard?
I just added the M-box last night after upgrading to Leopard a month or so ago. I have noticed that when my machine goes to sleep... the mbox interface ceases to work. I have to reboot fresh to allow the mac the mBox and audacity to work together. I have been doing voiceover all morning and seems to be working fine... as long as my mac doesn't go to sleep.
I am also using PT LE 6.9 in conjunction with the mBox.
