Im fairly new to the whole recording thing. Just downloaded audacity 1.3.12. And looking into recording my keyboard, but it doesnt seem to recognise it in devices. Ive looked everywere for information on it. But it seems i can only find information on plugging it into a Line In port (witch my computer doesnt have) and so i was wondering does this program recognise midi - USB keyboards and if so how to i set it up?
Thanks
Tom

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Re: USB Keyboard not recognised
You had me going there. Your muscial keyboard.
MIDI/USB control doesn't carry sound. It just presses the keys. The sound has to be carried over separate cables and applied to your recorder (computer). You can use the Headphone Output of the keyboard through adapters. That's what I do.
Most Macs and large desktop PCs have Line-In, but PC laptops tend not to. For those, you can buy a nice Line-In to USB Sound adapter like the UCA-202 we reviewed here...
