Problem with Audacity

Hello,

I have installed Audacity successfully and every thing was working fine, but just lately, the audacity system when I am recording started to have pauses which could ruin the speech. How do I fix this problem? I am using Window. The Audacity was 1-2-6 version.

Please let me know what I have to do to fix this problem.

Are you running other programs in the background (anti-virus, firewalls etc)?. Audio recording can be interrupted if other apps are grabbing the CPU's attention from time to time. Try closing as much as possible in the background and see if it makes a difference.
