Recording from Internet Radio

Post by Step » Fri Jan 25, 2008 11:13 pm

Hi; I am new to Audacity, and love it. I record from Internet radios about 78-79 minutes, then export the file as Wav file. Then, I use Itunes to burn a cd with this file. The problem is it is one big file. When I play the cd, I cannot use forward button. The CD player display shows track number 01 all the time.
I read the Audacity help file. Apparently, I need to apply a label after each song so that a media player will recognize it as one song (file). I don't want to sit in front of the computer all the time to insert labels.
Is it possible to go to Audacity's preferences and figure out what to do?

Thank You.

Please read my other post. I answered my own question.
After you finish recording, select Analyse, silence finder. that will do it.
