i installed the latest version of audacity 1.3 yesterday. for some reason, and that reason is driving me insane, i can't get the songs to playback on my computer. i can hear them while recording them on to the computer. i save them in the wav file but after that there is no sound. can someone please help me out before i throw the whole thing over the balcony. thanks.

Make sure you have someone there with a camcorder before you do that. It's good to cone off the area around the impact so nobody gets hurt. Local laws may apply. Check with the local city office.
Do you get the red recording meters bouncing and the blue waves on the timeline while you record?

Maybe your default Sound Playback on you computer is not going to your speakers?
