Menu->View->Zoom to Selection CTL-E

Might be a good idea to really investigate the menus someday.

Click drag a portion of the song. Press and hold the keyboard Control key and tap the E key. Release everything. That should zoom into the work. The other Control codes work the same way. They are keyboard shortcuts and do not always show up in menus.
