Hi I am new to this forum. I posted this question in a thread about stereo export. But it is buried on the 4th page of a PC post, so I am asking my question here again.
I am new to Audacity. I am trying to get it to work on a Mac and with Parallels on the PC side of my Mac. On the Mac side, I cannot do anything. Get an error message when I try to record. Found out that by default, it was set to stereo. When I set to mono I can record. On the PC side, I can record with stereo set in preferences, but everything is grayed out, cannot export my file to any format. It can't be my mics, because I have used them in other programs to record with stereo. Why is there a stereo setting if you can't save out stereo files? Does it have something to do with a sound card? I am on an Intel Mac Pro using Tiger, OS 10.4.11.
Can't Record in Stereo

There's a reason for that. You don't have either a PC or a Mac.
<<<Does it have something to do with a sound card?>>>
I'm betting it has something to do with sharing resources and virtual machine services. We have a person trying to do VOIP and H.323 videoconferencing on the same machine. It's a disaster.
Does Parallels have a forum?
