using Zoom R16 interface on Mac with Audacity1.3.10-Beta

Post by Breen » Tue Feb 09, 2010 8:59 am

hi guys

I am using the new Zoom R16 desk as an interface with Audacity on my MacBook Pro with SnowLeopard - but cannot find a way to select Input into Audacity of any signal from the R16

I have connected the 2 items via the provided USB connection and downloaded the provided Driver that came with the Zoom onto the Mac

The only Input Source that appears on my Audacity is Internal Microphone

any ideas?

Thanks Breen

The first step is to see if you can select the Zoom in Apple > System Preferences > Sound > Input. If you can't see it there, then Audacity won't see it. Second, make sure that the Zoom drivers use Core Audio. If they are ASIO drivers, then Audacity won't ever see it since Audacity does not support ASIO.
