I got the vst Gsnap which is an autotune type thing. You can get settings on the net like you tube, but every one is for T-pain. These settings work decent to get that effect, but I was wondering why whenever I highlight an area to place the effect on, there is no wave picture of the audio in the gsnap. Is that cause it's after it's recorded, due to not being able to apply the effect live? On the UK site where I got this, it showed pictures of the GUI with the waves and that's kind of what you need to actually adjust a note or whatever.

Audacity does not support real time processing, and it does not use the Steinberg VST SDK (due to license restrictions), so you only get partial VST support.
