Audacity keeps crashing
So every time that I open Audacity and try to select the monitor input setting to record Audacity crashes. I am new to this and the other night when I used it, it was fine. Is there anything that I can do?

Re: Audacity keeps crashing
What version of Audacity do you have and what computer and OS are you running? What are you trying to use as the input?
If it is suddenly crashing then something has changed. Is the device you had hooked up the other night no longer connected or powered on?

I am using the latest version of Audacity and running on OS X. I have not changed anything on the configuration.

Re: Audacity keeps crashing
What device are you trying to record from?
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences then the Sound panel then the Input tab. Select your desired input device there.
Open Audacity. Go to Audacity > Preferences then select Devices from the list on the left, then in the "Recording" section make sure the same (or similarly-named) device is selected there. Click OK to accept the changes.
Now you have selected the same device for input to the Mac and for input to Audacity. Hopefully this will cure the problem.

Re: Audacity keeps crashing
I figured it out. It had to do with my Midi settings being different from the Audacity settings. Thanks for your help.
