Hi Dave, that's really interesting - sadly it didn't come with a 'drive' to slot into a bay though, I've not seen it mentioned in any of the reviews of it either - if only it did and it might have solved the problem!
Thanks for posting though, cheers.

Do you have "Creative Mixer" installed? It is included in the software for all SoundBlaster cards and has an icon near the time/date (usually also a link in the Start menu).

Hmm, not sure I can find that one. Thanks for the pointer.
I had a look on the Creative Audio Console and saw the decoder was set to built-in decoder rather than the S/PDIF decoder, which it says would require an external decoder.
The reason I mention this is that one of the recording options I get on audacity is for a S/PDIF-In. Not sure if it's connected...

Your line in on your sound card should be color coded light blue or blue and then you can activate through your Audacity control panel selector {drop down menu} If your using vista or windows 7 check out this link[url]http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... _audio[url] cheers

There are two ways to set Audacity inputs. The quicky way is with the drop-down menus on the work window, but a much better way is with the Audacity Preference panels.
If you're on Vista, there are new rules.
