I am working with three track to produce a podcast. I have one track that has an intro that leads into music on the second track. Then on the third track the start of an interview. It all sounds great on the .aud file. But once I export them, two of the track's audio drop out at the start. I guess I loose a full second or two. Any ideas why this might be happening? I had the tracks set to a sample format of 32-bit then I back it off to 24 for each one, but didn't help. The project rate is set to 44100 Hz. I am trying to export it as a mp3. I really need to get this working as this is a paid gig and I am contracted for 10 episode and possibly more if they like it and I can deliver.
Thanks
Matt

Let me predict the past. You're working on an Intel Mac under Leopard OS-X 10.5 or 10.6?
Apple > About This Mac. Read Processor and Version.
If so, you're on the wrong Audacity. Newer Macs don't support Audacity 1.2.
Let me know.

I am using Audacity 1.3.9. I am on a MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3. So shouldn't it work? Any other software besides Garageband? I hate editing on GB and the sound never is as crisp and bright as it is on Audacity.kozikowski wrote:Let me predict the past. You're working on an Intel Mac under Leopard OS-X 10.5 or 10.6?

Re: Audio Drops at the track start
I changed the bit rate to VBR and that seemed to take care of the issue. The file size is not really big, but I think the client can live with that.
