Just how scriptable is it for beginners?

Post by digitaltoast » Tue Nov 03, 2009 7:52 pm

Would the following be possible?

If markers were dropped during recording, when the recording was finished, the press of a button would save all those marked files as separate MP3s titled in a certain way?

It's a long story that I can explain if you REALLY want, but the main point is that most of the people using it would be of, how can I put this, senior years and limited PC ability, so it needs to be easy.

Yes it is certainly possible - in fact if you click on the "tutorials" link at the top of the page you will find this page: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... ate_tracks
9/10 questions are answered in the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Many thanks - I don't know why I hadn't found those. I assumed it would be under the "scripting" part, but in fact it's simpler than I thought it would be!
