Re: Balancing Stereo channels
I have imported a song from 1.2.6 to 1.3.9. Is it possible to turn it into a stereo track? I have clicked on make stereo track but it there is nothing there and it is including the track underneath in the space needed for it. is there a way of doing it without having to duplicate tracks?

Re: Balancing Stereo channels
Make Stereo Tracks joins two existing mono tracks into one linked stereo track.
Add New Track, and track management is much easier in Audacity 1.3.
That and you're never going to get "stereo," different sound on left and right. The best you can do without manipulation is two-track mono. While the show is two separate mono tracks, you can change one slightly like adding echo or a slight delay and simulate stereo when you join them. You're never going to get violins on the left and French Horns on the right.
