Ok, this is kind of strange...so I'm recording "what u hear" on my pc and exporting each song/clip as a wave file, then dragging them to windows media player 11 and adding them to playlists then saving the playlist. Now, the song DOES play, but if I close media player and open it again the TIME of the song (3:23 or however long it is), is gone, but once I double click on the song to play it again, the time reappears. Now, where I run into a problem is when I'm sharing the music to my xbox 360 the song will not play, and gives a message that the 360 can't read the file.
The funny thing is it's only SOME of the songs I record on audacity that do this, some of the more recent ones work fine, show up with the correct time, and share with my xbox. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?
Strange thing going on with WAV files/WMP...

Re: Strange thing going on with WAV files/WMP...
Audacity defaults to 32-bit floating for its WAV file production. That can cause problems. See what happens when you change the Audacity Preferences to 44100, 16-bit Stereo. Restart Audacity.
You can change your other songs to 16-bit.
Here's a piece from earlier about conversions.
