Recording music from youtube , etc

When i record music from streams such as youtube, i play it back and it sounds strange , not normal, kind of as if im in a tunnel or something, its really weird, any help?

You may be recording too many pathways with a delay between them. Windows is good at that.

I record it on tape, Reel to reel and then convert it back via 1.2.6. to the computer if I want it digitised.
