I have just installed the 1.3.9 Release Candidate to test with a large plug-in. One of the things the plug requires is a way to know where the plug-ins directory resides. In 1.3.8, I could set the "Start In" text box in the icon used to run Audacity to point to (in my case C:Program filesAudacity138) the Audacity program directory, and then use the Nyquist (setdir ".") to determine the path to the plug-ins directory. In 1.3.9, (setdir ".") always returns C:Program filesAudacity139modules, no matter what the "Start in" setting is in the shortcut icon.
Is there a better and 100% reliable way to find the full path to the plug-ins directory?
