Auto "Fit Project"

Post by Stater » Mon Aug 10, 2009 10:51 pm

When I zoom in and highlight a part of audio and replace it with silence or tone or whatever, after the edit it will zoom out as if I pressed "Fit Project" button. Which sucks when I need to zoom back in again. I'm guessing this is a bug. Thanks!

It's been fixed in newer Audacity code. They're still messing with it.

Until they get it straightened out, here's a shortcut.

When it goes out, it's doing Control-F -- zoom Full.

After it goes out, Control-E to zoom into the silence, then Control-3 to zoom back out slightly. The keys are right next to each other and that puts you very nearly where you were.
