missing audio data blockfile
At startup, I get a warning about "missing audio data blockfile, probably due to a bug..." and is requested to chose one of three actions, of which I always chose the first one (replace lost data with silence). The annoying thing is that this warning and chose request come up every time I startup.
What can I do to get rid of the need to chose an action every time I startup?
(I think the problem arose when I killed an effect plug-in by clicking on the "X" in the top-right corner of the plug-in window, thus killing that window, which seemed to cause audacity to go into some kind of an unstable state).

First off, read this so that you understand how Audacity handles its data: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... ement_Tips
It is possible that if Audacity crashed it has lost some of the data required in that project. If you start a new project does it work without causing this error?

Re: missing audio data blockfile
I havent touched anything in the project folder, or moved location of it.
Starting a new project doesnt give this error.
The funny thing is that I cant find any missing parts of that project, at least not any important parts.
(beginning to have so many channels now and a large portion of them are muted and not presently used)
it aint a big problem obviously, just a little bit annoying, thats all.

Re: missing audio data blockfile
Try saving the project under a new name. Keep the original project (both the file and the data folder) as a back up and try opening the copy.

Re: missing audio data blockfile
I solved this problem by returning to 1.3.7
Re: missing audio data blockfile
Interesting I solved it the same way.

Re: missing audio data blockfile
If you think this is a bug in Audacity 1.3.9, would either of you like to help track it down so that it can be fixed?

Re: missing audio data blockfile
Hi GeBu, do you still have a project that produces the error in 1.3.9, but works in 1.3.7?
If so, how big is the projects? (size of the data folder).
Does the project use any audio files external to the project, or is the project self contained?

Re: missing audio data blockfile
It looks that this is bug in 1.3.9 vesion, because in 1.3.7, 1.3.8 and 1.3.10 there is no problem.
