Effects applied to one track affect all tracks

Post by george13 » Fri Jul 31, 2009 5:05 pm

I noticed this bug some time ago, but I made a new topic so it isn't forgotten. It's in 1.3.8 and in 1.3.9 alpha. I'm using Mac OSX 10.4.11 on a G5.

Create two tracks. Apply an external (e.g. Apple AU) effect to (part of) one track, then the effect is applied to the same part of the other track.

This doesn't happen with the built-in effects.

Koz has confirmed the bug on an G4 also running 10.4.11 Tiger, in this post: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 801#p42200.

Leland has applied a fix for this. Please test using a Mac Nightly Build. Grab from the bottom of the list - it needs to be built on the 16th or later, so "audacity-nightly-2009.08.16-03.15" or later.

The fix will be in 1.3.9 Release assuming it's successful.

Hi,

It's working now for me. I tested with various AU and VST plugins. Thank you.
