Audacity Crashes After Import

Post by Kay5 » Tue Mar 02, 2021 2:54 am

Hi all,

I imported an audio file recorded on Zoom and downloaded from iMovie. This works fine.

Then I try to import another mp3 file as a short music intro. It seems to import fine, but when playing it, the whole app closes. I have only used Audacity a few times. The file worked in my first couple of downloads but not since. I tried importing and playing other files into my projects; they all work fine. It seems to be just this one file that cannot play. I tried redownloading the music from the below site, but the new download also does not work.

Error Message Upon Reopening: "Project File Found file Inconsistencies upon reopening."
The below screenshot is part of the error message I am getting.

Music Link: https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UCNv ... -2zg/music

I use Mojave 10.14.6 & Audacity 2.4.2

Thanks in advance.

Does the MP3 file have a sample rate of 32000? If so, resample it to 44100.
