Hello,
I just downloaded the link for macOS (I'm running Big Sur 11.2.2). When I go to click on the Audacity icon in my Applications folder, I have several files but don't know which file to click in order to proceed (see screen shot attachment below). I'm sure its something basic I am overlooking. I appreciate any replies, thanks.

and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

You have downloaded a very old version of Audacity (version 2.1.2 or earlier - the current version is 2.4.2). Get the latest version here.
