M1 Chip

I just purchased the new MacBook Air with M1 Chip. I was really hoping to download and use Audacity, but it said to contact developers. Did I not download the correct version, or is an update on its way?

Audacity 3 is coming, but I understood that 2.4.2 would work. Did you get your Audacity from here?

Audacity 2.1.1 was a 32-bit application so will not run on macOS Catalina and beyond. This is not an issue with the M1 chip.
