I am using a Windows 7 laptop and Audacity 2.4.1. When choosing the Input the option Line (Steinberg UR22) appears but for some reason it records the instrumental as I think it connects to the outpot. Everything else is plugged in correctly. There are no other options. I also choose the line as a default device but that makes no changes as only the Laptop microhpone appears in the option.
Please help my friends.

Make sure you haven't selected a "loopback" device.
Re: Audacity and Steinberg UR22 mkII Microphone Issue
Caveat. Steinberg has a vested interest in promoting its own ASIO USB protocol. Audacity does *not* ship with ASIO support for licensing reasons. So you may be better off with another audio program such as cakewalk or reaper.LichaDin wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 9:17 pmI am using a Windows 7 laptop and Audacity 2.4.1. Having said that, there are newer drivers available on the Steinberg site that you can try downloading to see if they correct the issue:
Here is the USB driver: https://www.steinberg.net/en/support/do ... river.html
and the latest firmware: https://www.steinberg.net/en/support/do ... 22mk2.html
I hope this helps.
