I am trying to use UR44 with Audacity on Mac (Big Sur V11.0.1), however I can not get Audacity to recognize UR44. I have installed the driver for UR44 and the dspMixFx_UR44 application from Yamaha recognizes the box along with any input.
Also when I look under the preferences, UR44 shows up as a MIDI device and not a audio input/output device.
Not sure what I am doing wrong, any help will be appreciated.

and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".
Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Windows guy here. I don't know why it is only showing up as a MIDI device. You should be able to use the UR44 with Audacity on Mac. Are you using Audacity 2.4.2 ? Does Audacity have permission to use the microphone ? See here: viewtopic.php?t=113466
