Hi all
I have just about finished producing a 3 volume 50hr audio book. Phew.
I am about to export but am a bit perplexed by the settings for the metadata. It will go to Audible, and other platforms I guess so generic is good.
So....how does metadata correlate to track numbering on different platforms and devices and therefore what is the best advice for the metadata export?
For example...do different platforms use the metadata for track numbering, or displaying the title etc?
Any advice please
Thankyou

Re: Best metadata settings/info for audiobooks?
ACX doesn't mention metadata in their instructions (that I saw).

You're supposed to do everything with the filename management.
We have posts from people who can't get metadata to work right. I don't think the audiobook process is a good place to mess with a brittle naming convention.

Re: Best metadata settings/info for audiobooks?
Thanks Koz
I got that far with ACX....
My question is I guess what to put into the metadata fields?
Specifically the Track number - should I just ignore it?

I'm not sure, but I think that metadata is added through the ACX web interface. For example, this article describes how to add cover art: https://audible-acx.custhelp.com/app/an ... project%3F
