Hi again
Is it ok to use the new Audacity with High Sierra and a Focusrite Solo? I have an older MacBook Pro, and don't think I can use a more recent OS on it.
Thanks,
John
High Sierra ok?

Re: High Sierra ok?
Audacity 2.4.2 seems to work well on my two High Sierra machines. I get an occasional little reminder that I really should go to Mojave. I think you can go as far as Mojave without running into too many difficulties.
Catalina is the first very serious change. Catalina is a "new" OS. Increased security and no more 32-bit apps. You don't realize the older apps and settings you rely on until they vanish.
My "television" for one example, is a 32-bit app.
Mojave comes with intrusive nag screens for upgrading.

Re: High Sierra ok?
There are no production-ready installers for Audacity 3.0.0.
2.4.2 is fully supported.
