Re: Two Audacities?
"System Preferences > Dock > Prefer tabs when opening documents"
Set to "In Full Screen Only"
Does that make a difference?

Re: Two Audacities?
Nope, sorry. What if I was to reinstall the program?
Re: Two Audacities?
Reinstalling is very unlikely to make any difference.
I don't have Sierra, but the issue looks to be just like this: https://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?t=31747

Re: Two Audacities?
Yes, that looks to be exactly the same issue I'm having. So it's a bug?

Re: Two Audacities?
Steve: good searching! Duckduckgo does not list that page.
Humanguy: As far as we can tell you are the only person in the world with this problem. It seems to be cosmetic (doesn't affect operation), and seems to be an artifact of running Audacity 2.4.2 on Sierra. Audacity 2.4.2 does not officially support Sierra. If everything is otherwise OK I don't suggest downgrading to an earlier version of Audacity.

What? Have you not seen this: https://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?t=31747
The "only person in the world with this problem" is funny. Completely stupid, but funny.

Re: Two Audacities?
Yes, I read that forum post. It was about seeing the double-title-bar during development of an app using the LiveCode platform. The problem went away "when the code was compiled."Humanguy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 1:04 amWhat? Have you not seen this: https://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?t=31747

I should have been more precise, I guess. You are the only person in the world to have this problem with Audacity. "As far as we can tell" (which you left out of my quote) because yours is the first and only report we've seen on this forum.

And that's it? You're not curious about what caused this to happen?billw58 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 2:50 amYes, I read that forum post. I'm very curious about what caused this to happen. Do you have any suggestions for how to investigate the cause?

Re: Two Audacities?
Testing on 2.4.2 and on the latest 3.0.0 alpha that I have on Mac - macOS 10.15.6 Catalina
I only see one Audacity title, this is for an un-named project - once I Save the project the header title changes to the name of the project.
@Humanguy: if you Save a project do you get two project names or does one remain as "Audacity" ?
