3 Decimal place frequency?

Post by curnowdj » Thu May 28, 2020 5:03 am

G'Day Gang
I am running Audacity 2.4.1 on Ubuntu 20.04
I installed the PPA and everything works well.
My question is: Is it possible to create a tone frequency with a 2 or 3 decimal place accuracy?
Kind Regards
Dennis

My guess is no, not because we can't post user messages with that kind of accuracy, but home computers just can't do it. Most computers can't make a 30 minute recording and have it come out 30 minutes because the internal data timebases are that far off.
