my microphone no longer works on audacity

Post by chiomaVO » Tue May 19, 2020 11:42 pm

Hello.
I have a Macbook Air, Mac0S Mojave
I use Audacity 2.3.3 and my microphone is the Snowball Ice.
Recently, every time I plug in my microphone on Audacity it doesn't work. Instead, the following text appears:

"Error opening recording device.
Error code : -9997
Invalid sample rate "

This has been really demoralising so please, if you know how to fix this help is very much appreciated.

Hi
I have exactly the same issue.
Catalina 10.15.4
Audacity 2.4.1
Macbook Pro
9997 Sample Rate

I was working on a song yesterday - all OK

Today I have the above error when I select "USB pnp sound device" whether or not the Rode NT3 mic with Citronic XU60 A to D converter is actually plugged in.

Works OK on MacBook microphone.

I have changed nothing.

Did you find a solution to this?

Thanks

Rob

Did all y'all Zoom between those times? Zoom, Skype and the other communications programs take over and can reset your microphone and sound systems.
