Im using Audacity 2.2.1
When I use shift-r, it start recording a new track from the furthest left hand marker - I use it to add a track to a backing.
I am unable to change the mic input level so I thought to upgrade. I added the new ppa and updated. This then gave me Audacity 2.3.3 (I think).
When I used Shift-R, it started recording from the end of the backing track. I tried using pause first and then Shift-R but nothing happens.
I tried this many times with the same result.
I deleted the ppa, uninstalled and reinstalled 2.2.1 and VOILA!, when I hit Shift-R, it starts to record from the left hand side as previously.
Does anybody else have that same issue??
Recording new track.

Re: Recording new track.
R and SHIFT+R were reversed between Audacity versions. You could either use the new keys, or reverse the keys back there they were in Preferences > Keyboard.
