Updating Audacity Version 2.3.2

Help for Audacity on macOS.

Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

Updating Audacity Version 2.3.2

I have a MacOSX Catalina 10.15.3 with Audacity 2.3.2. I am confused with some of the posts about updating. All I wish to know is, do I need to uninstall version 2.3.2 before installing version 2.3.3 or does the later version just update the new version please?

Problem solved. I uninstalled 2.3.2 and then installed 2.3.3 afterwards.

Are you able to record from your computer using Audacity 2.3.3 without Soundflower or some similar add-on? That's been the big problem with Catalina.
