recording from mini disc

Post by BarbaraValenzuela » Thu Jul 11, 2019 4:11 am

Hello - I want to record with Audacity from Mini discs. I can connect the MD player (small one with ear phone out) but do not hear the music and recording is not possible. What to do?

The connection should be from earphone-out (or line-out) on the mini-disc, to line-in* on the computer.
Then select line-in as the recording device in Audacity.

[* If your computer does not have a line-in socket,
devices are available for ~$30US which convert a USB socket into a line-in socket].

The Behringer UCA-202 is a handy, convenient, good quality way to add stereo in and out and headphone connection to a computer.
