change file form
Hi, I have audacity 2.1.2 and windows 7. I made an audio recording on an olympus ws 500m recorder. I tried to import the file but got a message saying change it to wave or aiff or go to ffmeg import>pref.libraries>download or locate. but Im still stuck. How can I convert this file so audacity will accept it. cheers
Re: change file form
From the online user manual I'm guessing it's a WMA file?
CORRECTED (Thank's Steve... Ooops!)...
Download and ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe to install FFmpeg. After installation, Audacity should find it automatically (you'll probably have to re-start Audacity) and hopefully your file will open.

Re: change file form
That should be: "Download and run ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe to install FFmpeg".
