"Window audio device graph isolation" issues

Post by superfuzz » Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:03 pm

Does anyone else have the problem that Audacity causes the "Window audio device graph isolation" process to tax the CPU? If so, is there a fix?

It's a Windows 10 process. When I download Audacity on my new computer it is activated inappropriately and causes a lot of cpu usage with the laptop overheating. I can see in the task manager that it's the "windows audio device graph isolation" process causing the issue. This does not happen on my old Samsung, but is happening on a brand new HP. I can't use the program like this and can't figure out a fix.

Hi, it's not an audacity problem, it's a windows 10 problem, chances are your windows 10 audio drivers are not working properly,
you might even see windows 10 audio device graph isolation with high CPU usage.

try this method to fix windows 10 audio device graph isolation with high CPU usage
