This seems to be happening with my set up and I will continue to test it but I wonder if anyone else has seen this. The problem is significant enough to prevent me from using the Timer Record option which is extremely useful to my situation.
I have an excel program that uses Developer/Visual BASIC to run my data collecting lab program and at the same time Audacity is recording the audio results. It was developed years ago and has over 800 lines of code. It works very well unless I set Timer Record in Audacity.
I am not sure what code is being prevented from working but I do see the program fail when I have a Timer Record running.
Maybe this might be a good reason to kill the lockout "feature". I suspect that this could be the culprit.
I will continue to test this to see if I can develop an example that demonstrates the problem.
Timer recording lockout seems to interfere with Microsoft office.
