There's something about the Noise Reducer application control that's never right. I've polled several people and we all use it at minimum setting or one notch up. Many times I can't set the noise reduction control correctly at all and I have to do noise reduction in another application. My joke is the control is adjustable from Too Much Correction to Way Way Way Way Too Much.

Re: Noise Reduction Control v1.2.x
Koz, have you tried it in 1.3.x? It seems to work better for me there - it never worked properly for me in 1.2.x.
I am no expert at fiddling with the paramaters but last week I used 1.3.3 noise removal on default settings to remove a nasty background whine from an old FM BBC reccording that I had on cassette - and it cleaned it up nicely for me.
Any developers care to comment on this?
