Having trouble recording
I don't know what's happening, but when I record it gets overlapped on previous recording for some reason. How can i make it so that it doesn't do that.

Every time you stop a recording, Audacity will start a new timeline under the old one. When you play, they will both play back. Record Pause will not do that. Pause will halt the current capture and then pick the same one up again when you unpause.
If you have to stop the session, Export the current performance as WAV, clear Audacity and start a new capture. Remember, Audacity will not Save sound files.
