These are amazing! I've been playing with the settings, and really appreciate them for the whistles and clicks that get buried in some of my words. I'll still Zoom In and Delete or Repair most of my noises, but for the ones that are difficult to find and isolate, these Effects work so well! Thank you!

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech
There's a couple of tricks to the DeEssing business.
Analyze > Plot Spectrum. Pick as high a Size as the system will allow. 16000 is good.
Low pitch tones on the left, high pitch tones on the right.
That blue haystack on the right is Essing.
Normal voices don't do that. That's the drilling teeth sound. The hump goes from roughly 4000Hz to 10000Hz, so those are the numbers I put in the DeEsser. Accuracy isn't that important.
And poof. No more blue haystack and no more essing.
This works particularly well after you audiobook master because then the volume of the performance is fixed and you don't have to go chasing after it with the DeEsser Threshold setting. Last I used it, I picked -30.

Hey ... I'm excited to try this De-esser you're all are talking about ... but I can't find it anywhere!
I have Audacity 2.3.2 and 2.4.2.
I've looked in all the drop downs.
I've been to the Installing Nyquist plug-ins page here:
https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/ins ... ndows.html
And the ''List of available plug-ins'' here:
https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Down ... g-ins#list
I can't find ''De-esser'' anywhere.
What am I missing?
Thanks ...

The De-Esser doesn't open directly from the link provided. What's the name of the website, maybe I can downloaded from there. Thank you very much, Paul!!!

Behold ... the Desibilator, (attached).
This 'desibilator' plugin is Paul Licameli's 'DeEsser.NY' just with different default-settings, different slider-ranges, & has tips added to the UI.
Previously the default frequency-range was not wide enough: it stopped at 8kHz, (now 13kHz).
Previously the "number of bands" slider went up to 1000
, when <5 bands is generally sufficient, and >50 will freeze/crash Audcaity.
So this variant of Paul-L's de-esser plugin is more likely to give first-time-users what they want, quickly, without crashing Audacity.

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech
How to use the "Debu Labels (short)" or "Debug Labels (long)" feature?
Is there any label format that is assumed in that functionality?
Is there a way to generate those labels automatically?
Is there any user guide that explains details?
