Struggling to find a working chorus effect

Post by Cstoneman99 » Wed Jul 11, 2018 10:59 am

Hi,

I'm using audacity to create and edit some jingles for my internet radio station, and am looking to add a chorus effect to the vocals on some of them.

I have tried a chorus effect that I found on this forum from 2012, but putting the file in the audacity plugins folder did not make it appear in either the effects menu or the "Manage effects" section, so I couldn't get it to install. I even tried completely reinstalling Audacity to make sure it scanned all the audio plugins, but still no luck.

Anyone know what I might have been doing wrong or a chorus effect plugin that is working?

I am completely blind, so using the screen reader version of Audacity if that makes any difference.

MacOS version: 10.13.5 Audacity version: Audacity 2.1.1

Thanks for any help.
:)

There is a Nyquist plug-in called "Multi-Voice Chorus" available here: viewtopic.php?p=191763#p191763

Installing Nyquist plug-ins on a Mac may be found here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/ins ... st_install

In case you don't know, there is a mailing list specifically for blind Audacity users. Information about this can be found here: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Auda ... ling_lists
