Tunning guitar , "cuatro"

The key search “tunning instruments” did not send back any data.

I am looking for a graphic way for instruments tunning, as a guitar (MI SI SOL RE LA MI) or "cuatro (LA RE FA# SI), but using AUDACITY. La is 440 Hz, looking at the screen ofAudacity I am waiting a line marking the 440 Hz, and another line with the frecuency of the string which I am tunning up, so, I can be sure and exact if the string is to tight or to soft near the LA frecuency. I want do the same for the rest of the strings

By the way Where is the icon in the audacity´s menus where I can start the 440 Hz signal without upload a file with the natural LA? I could not find it…

Audacity does not have an instrument tuner.

You can generate a 440 Hz tone using the sine wave generator: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/generate_menu.html#tone

You can test the frequency of a recorded note using this “Pitch Detect” plug-in: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Analyze_Plug-ins#Pitch_Detect
Instructions for installing the plug-in are here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Download_Nyquist_Plug-ins#Installing_Plug-ins
