Hi, Does anyone know why the limiter has become so slow? Previously it usually took about 10 seconds to apply this effect on a track. But now it takes about a minute. I’m using the latest version (2.3.0)
Due to an update outside of our control, many Nyquist plug-ins are much slower in Audacity 2.3.0 on Windows.
The next version of Audacity (2.3.1) which is due to be released very soon, solves this problem. The new release will be announced as soon as it becomes available (follow us on facebook or twitter if you wish to be notified).

You will note from there that my tests show that not only have we fixed the “slower in 2.3.0” bug - we’ve actually improved the speed over 2.2.2.
