Inconsistent shuffle behavior when deleting tracks

Post by yak27 » Tue Jul 27, 2021 10:39 pm

When deleting multiple tracks it is useful for the resulting shift of tracks to be consistent for each action so that the mouse needs to move a known amount. This increases speed and reduces errors thereby overall increasing ease of use.
However, I have noted that the shuffle pattern changes once I scrolled up past the bottom (see linked video).
I wouldn't exactly call this a bug but I think that it is something that deserves attention.
Thanks

The way that I would delete alternate tracks:

1. Select the first track to be deleted
2. Down cursor twice (to the next track to be deleted)
3. "Enter" (to select it)
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all tracks to be deleted are selected.
5. "Tracks menu > Remove Tracks"

Thanks that's informative! From now I'll gonna follow that method for deleting multiple tracks at a time.
