Udating Audacity to 64 bit

Hi,
I’ve been using the old Audacity 2.3.0 version, on Windows 10m 32 bit, I know I should have updated ages ago, but its been working fine. I tried to update to the latest 3.1.3 version 64 bit, and I am getting error messages of ‘failure to initialize’ I can see in the folders all the RX Plugs are there, but when I try to enable at x86 bit and ok I get the error messages.
Any ideas please, gratefully received.

So as you have by now determined, 32-bit Audacity requires 32-bit plugins and 64-bit Audacity requires 64-bit plugins.

3.1.3 Audacity comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors. If you go to Audacity ® | Downloads, you will see an option to download the 32-bit version.

Hi Jademan,

Thank you for your reply. So, I have downloaded the 64 bit version, but I am getting error messages ‘failed to initialize’… I don’t want the 32bit version of 3.1.0 or the latest version… any idea what’s going wrong? Thanks for your help.
